NAVEL ORANGES... This is a juicy piece of fruit, although not quite as juicy as a Tangelo. It peels and sections easily. It is considered seedless (10 or less seeds per orange).
RUBY RED GRAPEFRUIT... This grapefruit is juicy, slightly tart, has a thin smooth skin with a pink blush and deep red meat. In February the Red Grapefruit will be reaching their prime. In March and April the acid will continue to come down, making them a little more appealing to those that like mild, sweet fruit.
CITRUS VARIETY... This Holiday Variety Pack is a half case mixture of Navel Oranges, Ruby Red Grapefruit, and Tangerines. Enjoy your favority fruit over the Holidays.
TANGERINES... This small to medium-sized fruit holds a big flavor. Often called the "zipperskin fruit" because it's easy to peel and section. The rich red fruit inside has some seeds. It's juicy, fragrant and has a rich, sweet taste. This is a great fruit for lunchboxes.
HONEYBELL TANGELOS... This is considered the best tangelo around. It has a very tropical flavor. It is a cross between a tangerine and a grapefruit that is uncommonly sweet and super juicy. Many believe it to be the "Cadillac" of the citrus fruits!
TEMPLE ORANGE... This is a medium sized, oval shaped orange that is deep orange in color. It sometimes has a pebbly skin. It has a rich, tart flavor and a beautiful frangrance. The Temple is one of Florida's finest eating orange.
VALENCIA ORANGE... This is a medium to large size fruit which is yellow to orange in color and has a smooth, thin peel. The Valencia is usually seedless and loaded with a fine, rich flavor and aroma. This fruit is often used for juice.
HELPFUL TIPS:
Florida citrus lasts much longer if it is refrigerated or stored in a cool, dry, place.
Keep oranges at 35-50 degrees.
Keep grapefruit at 45-58 degrees.
Eat the soft fruit first... it's the ripest!
